March can be a funny old month in the construction industry, it was great for us this year, having secured yet another basement with a volume in excess of 20,000 cubic metres, the largest muck shift in south east London in March, yet again Wyndam Site Services proves capable of securing major works in a still volatile market place.

Olympic Site, Stratford
Having made all the running, WSS have secured a contract worth in excess of £650,000 to move a volume of approx 15000 cubic metres of soil contaminated with asbestos from the Olympic site, with a programme of moving 100 loads a day. Our Sales manager Gary Fletcher said, "this is a great mile stone for us, having been awarded our second contract on the Olympic site, with hopefully more to come".

Muck Away for Tesco store extension, Elmer's End
Having returned from the Christmas Break, Wyndam site services hit the ground running and secured a large Extension to a Tesco store in Elmer’s End, supplying muck away services and supplying recycled aggregates and sand. This contract will be ongoing until July 2010.

Bournewood Sand and Gravel Landfill, Swanley
Having receiving a call from our local landfill site, we were called upon to inspect some cross contamination which accrued on site. A contractor had been tipping in the site with the wrong classification of material. We sampled the material and removed it to a suitably licensed facility, working in conjunction with the environment agency

Kemnal Manor School, Orpington
One of Wyndam Site services strengths is our ability to offer a one stop shop. This is what we offered a local contractor who was building a large extension at Kemnal Manor School, Orpington. Not only did we supply a muck away service we supplied all the recycled aggregates and skip hire for the site.

Three different Topsoil specifications were required for this complex site (SUBSOIL, TOPSOIL BS3882 and TREE SAND). All deliveries had to be carefully co-ordinated with the landscapers on site. Once again, Wyndham Site services proves it can come up with the specification and the service which keeps us in front of our competitors.

We were happy to be awarded a reduced dig, in East London, for one of our many ground works contractors, volume of material approx 4000 cubic metres. The programme was to remove the volume in one week - which we achieved within the programme.

Wyndam Site Services arrive at the Olympic Site, Stratford
After some tough negotiating, Wyndham site services have secured a contract to supply a substantial volume of gabion fill to the Olympic site in Stratford, from a local quarry in Kent. Sales Manager, Gary Fletcher, said after some tough bidding and willingness to succeed, "We came through with flying colours. This contract gets us on the Olympic contractors list, which means a great deal to our company after putting in such a great team effort".

Fire Station Reinstatement Contract
After a lot of hard work at the tender stage, in partnership with Ringwood based main, we were able to secure the contract for removal of inert waste and supply recycled materials to two main fire station reinstatements in Hainault and Bexleyheath. Our sales manager Gary Fletcher said, 'this gives us a great opportunity to build another good working relationship with a major contractor'.

Wyndham fought off tough opposition to secure the contract for the removal of 1,000 cubic metres of inert waste from a major storage depot development in Thamesmead, South East London.

Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient and Fulham Football Clubs —
Pitch Reinstatement

Over the years, we have built up a very close relationship with Charlton Football Club. WSS has an annual contract to remove soil and turf from their football training ground, so that it can be reinstated for the coming season. We have successfully secured two more contracts with major football clubs, Leyton Orient and Fulham.
All the material removed from these sites has been recycled.

Surrey Quays — removal of 10,000 cubic metres of inert waste
After some tough negotiations with one of the top Basement and Frame contractors, we were able to secure an order to remove approx 10,000 cubic metres of inert waste from a reduced excavation in Surrey Quays, South East London. The program set out the removal of a minimum of 80 loads of material a day, which we achieved with ease. Another job, well done, for one of our main clients.
Former Gas Works Site, Old Cannons Wharf, Tonbridge —
removal of contaminated waste
Working closely with Redrow Homes and a Middlesex based groundworker, we were able to secure removal of contaminated waste from a former gas works site in Tonbridge. To minimize the amount of contaminated soil going to landfill, all material was taken to a waste treatment facility.

WSS win the battle for 4,500 cubic metres of inert muck away
After a real battle with our competitors, we have just secured an order with a Basement Contractor in Hemmel Hempstead, to remove 4,500 cubic metres of inert muck from a development in SE1.
Our sales manager Gary Fletcher says this is an important milestone for us, not only securing this order, but to have another Basement Contractor to join our fast growing customer base.

1,500 Loads of inert muck away, at an efficient '100 loads a day'
Wyndham Site Services have secured another large project. The job involves shifting 1,500 loads of inert muck away from a site in south east London. We have shown yet again that we are more than capable of moving material quickly at '100 loads a day'. When asked what we're capable of, we reply 'the sky's the limit'.

10,000 cubic metres of muck away to be removed by WSS
WSS gets set for a big clear up! We have just been given the green light to start removing 10,000 cubic metres of hazardous and non-hazardous material from a site in Wandsworth, London. We will also be providing 20 yard rollonoff bins to take the hazardous material so that it can be transported and removed safely. What a way to start 2009 – firing on all cylinders!
